Customer Quickstart

Goal

Use this quickstart to get productive with your licensed Whitebox Workflows Pro tools as quickly as possible.

  1. Confirm which bundles and tools your organization has licensed.
  2. Open the relevant bundle overview chapter in this manual.
  3. Start with the first workflow listed in that bundle order.
  4. Run the tool once on a small pilot area before full production use.
  5. Validate outputs using the chapter's validation and troubleshooting sections.

Minimal First-Run Workflow

  1. Identify your tool chapter in the table of contents.
  2. Read sections in this order:
    • Purpose
    • Inputs
    • Parameters
    • Outputs
    • Example
  3. Copy the example and adapt file paths and parameters to your dataset.
  4. Run on pilot data.
  5. Review output quality before scaling.

Validation Checklist Before Production

  • Inputs are in compatible CRS, resolution, and extent.
  • Required preprocessing (if any) has been completed.
  • Parameters are documented for reproducibility.
  • Output looks spatially plausible and matches expected behavior.
  • Confidence and quality indicators are reviewed where available.

Common Onboarding Mistakes

  • Running full extents before validating on a pilot area.
  • Skipping input harmonization checks.
  • Reusing parameters from unrelated use cases.
  • Ignoring confidence or QA outputs.

Getting Support Faster

When contacting support, include:

  1. Tool name
  2. Data type and source
  3. Parameter set used
  4. Error message or unexpected behavior
  5. Sample output screenshot or summary

Next Steps

After your first successful run:

  1. Save your parameters as a standard profile.
  2. Define acceptance criteria for your team.
  3. Repeat on full project extents.
  4. Track output consistency across reporting cycles.
